Usagi Yojimbo is one of the longest independent serialized comic book series in existence.
Stan Sakai , the sole creator, author, and artist who is best known for his series Usagi Yojimbo, the epic saga of Miyamoto Usagi, a samurai rabbit living in late-sixteenth and early-seventeenth-century Japan. Since then, Stan Sakai has received numerous awards for Usagi Yojimbo including the National Cartoonists Society Award, multiple Eisner Awards, the Parents' Choice Award, and Harvey Award for Best Cartoonist.
